Tears before Bedtime,
So yesterday, 30th March 2021 Our beloved Gorgeous Georgie reached the end of her journey. She had bravely and gallantly plodded on in recent times but it became apparent that her time had come.
Georgie was one of the elder ladies of our group, a definite leader, ensuring that the harmony within the group remained balanced.
She was a marvelous mentor to all the new recruits.
She was often referred to by me as bullet proof, she would remain calm and controlled at all times, rarely barking, but obviously yipping, yapping and squealing as only a staffie can lol.
Too say that we are distraught is an understatement, she would have had a way of bringing us around, she was always in the right place at the right time, doing what was required, she was without doubt the plaster that held us all together, not able to heal us on our own,but ensuring that we bound together to heal as a whole.
We have had some amazing adventures travelling around the UK on our journey, I crease up thinking of how she would have to retrieve the largest rock possible from the deepest stream, an absoulte doofus
From our inital meeting fifteen and a half years ago, Georgie the six month old reprebate that would chew everything in sight, and hated meeting our resident dog, blossomed into the calm, gentle lovable soul that would steal the hearts of everybody that she would meet, she would mentor and lead by example for all of our dogs, she will be deeply missed.
It would be fair to say that Georgie was always at the heart of everything,
She was integral in my introductory assignment for entry into University.
First practical lesson as University we worked together building a bond and developing our potentials
She helped me through all my University practicals making it look easy.
It is fair to say that i wouldn’t be where i am now without her
And now she is home again, right where she belongs.
With us her loving family
Loved forever
Never forgotten
Special thanks to:
Bentley Road Veterinary centre, Doncaster for their support and compassion throughout these times, a really fabulous team of caring people.
Greenacres Pet Crematorium, East Butterwick, Nr Scunthorpe, for their compassion and willingness to please and including our every wishes, we will not use anybody else to care for our loved ones.
Make sure that you enjoy the journey, as inevitably the destination will come what may.
Love to everybody,
Keep safe,
Keep distanced,
Keep loving your dogs,
Mick@Blitz1768.
Georgie, You have had the best ever parents and family, you’ve been loved and looked after, never wanted for anything, but it’s time now for you to move on to new and amazing doggy adventures โค
You were very fortunate to have her and she was very fortunate to have you – it worked extremely well both ways โค๐งก๐๐๐๐
Good post!
